The business law firm Franklin is pleased to announce the appointment of Olivier Borenstejn and Jérémy Chiche as partners, expanding its Bank – Finance team to 6 lawyers including 2 partners and its Real Estate team to 17 lawyers including 5 partners.
Olivier Borenstejn has been appointed partner in the Bank – Finance Practice.
Olivier graduated from EM Business School in Lyon, has a postgraduate degree (DESS) in banking and finance law from the University of Paris II Panthéon-Assas, and another (DEA) in public sector law from the University of Paris XII. He was admitted to the Paris bar in 2006.
He began his career at Mayer Brown in 2006, then became an associate in Clifford Chance’s Finance & Capital Markets Group. In 2010, he joined the Bank-Finance practice at the firm Jeantet Associés, then, together with his partner, went on to develop the Bank Finance practice at Reed Smith. He joined Franklin in October 2013.
Olivier advises on drafting and negotiating financing documents for complex business transactions (acquisitions/LBOs, project finance, real estate finance, public/private partnerships). He also advises on banking and financial regulation matters
Jérémy Chiche has been appointed partner in the Real Estate Practice.
Jérémy has a postgraduate degree (DESS) in business law from the University of Dijon and an LLM in International and European Business Law from the Anglia Polytechnic University of Cambridge. He was admitted to the Paris bar in 2002.
He began his career at Jones Day in 2002, then joined the firm DS Avocats in 2004. Along with partner François Verdot, he joined Taylor Wessing in 2006, then Salans (now Dentons) in 2007, and eventually Franklin in June 2012.
He advises on both real estate acquisitions and real estate asset management. He also represents clients in disputes over commercial leases for all types of properties (offices, retail units, shopping centers, warehouses, industrial units, hotels, etc.).
