Julie Catala Marty heads the Competition-Distribution department.
Since 2000, she has been representing clients before French and EU courts and competition authorities. Her experience covers anticompetitive and restrictive practices, distribution law, state aid and merger control. She also assists her clients in damages actions (private enforcement) before ordinary courts. Julie’s practice spans a variety of industries and she has recognized expertise in the fields of network industries (telecommunications, transport, energy), media (the television sector in particular), luxury goods, building materials and heavy industries.
Julie also contributes to various publications and is a member of several associations such as the French Competition Lawyers’ Association (Association des Avocats Pratiquant le Droit de la Concurrence) and the French Association for the Study of Competition (Association Française d’Etude de la Concurrence). She is regularly quoted in rankings such as Chambers and Legal 500.
