Franklin advises Sprint on acquisition of Cartonnages Gil.

Franklin’s Restructuring practice has advised French printing group Sprint on continuing to roll out its growth strategy by acquiring Cartonnages Gil, an in-store marketing specialist in reorganization since October 21, 2021.

Sprint was founded in 2007 and currently employs over 550 workers across several locations in France. It provides the largest corporations in France with market-leading solutions to all their communication and marketing needs.

Since 2016, its founder Foad Rad has completed 16 add-ons, including two in-court acquisitions, making him the number one consolidator in the French printing market. The group can now rely on a highly effective, experience-based methodology to successfully integrate its new subsidiaries.

With this acquisition, Sprint is furthering its controlled growth strategy and extending its customer value proposition. The group expects to exceed €100 million in revenue in 2022 and to quickly leverage industrial and commercial synergies with its other entities.

On January 20, 2022, the Commercial Court of Evreux approved Sprint’s bid for Cartonnages Gil’s assets and staff, saving 27 jobs.

Sprint is advised by Franklin partner Numa Rengot, assisted by associates Pierre Dupuys and Emilie Gassier.

The court-appointed officials in the reorganization proceedings are:

  • Trustee: FHB (Nathalie Leboucher)
  • Creditors’ representative: Marc Berel

The landlord is advised by Fortium (Baptiste Martin)
