Our Antitrust department offers an experienced and innovative competition and distribution law team, providing transactional and litigation services for French and overseas corporations, as well as investment funds.

In merger control, we regularly appear before the Autorité de la concurrence and the European Commission, as well as in multi-jurisdictional operations with the support of local correspondents.

Our expertise enables us to handle some of the most complex cases. In litigation, we act before the French and European courts on cartels, abuse of dominant position, restrictive practices and distribution law. Our expertise extends to state aid and the control of foreign investment and subsidies.

Finally, we have extensive experience in risk management and the design of tailor-made compliance programs.

Merger control

We accompany our clients from deal structuring through every key stage of the merger process, assisting with “controllability” reviews; handling notifications; if any, negotiating and monitoring commitments; and leading work in any potential appeals.
Cartels, abuse of a dominant position & private enforcement

We assist plaintiffs or defendants in proceedings involving cartels and abuses of a dominant position before the French and European courts. We also assist with private enforcement actions.
State aid

We help clients assess the legality of state aid, guide them through the European Commission’s notification process, and represent them in EU-wide State aid litigation.
Distribution & restrictive trade practices

We advise clients on structuring and protecting distribution networks for their products or services and on dealing with restrictive trade practices.

We also offer deep experience in handling contentious cases in this field.
Compliance & risk management

We assist clients with the full range of business-critical risk management issues.

Our experienced team provides strategic and legal counsel, developing competition law compliance programs which are individually tailored to the specific needs of each client. We offer a strong cross-practice capability, combining global-standard competition law compliance counsel with the skills of our employment law and data protection teams.
Control of foreign direct investment

We assist clients in the assessment of the applicability of the FDI screening to their proposed investments, in the preparation and follow-up of formal or informal requests for prior authorization from the Minister of Economy, as well as in the possible negotiation of commitments.
