Antoine Fouassier has been Of Counsel since 2023 and joined Franklin in January 2020. He specialises in advising on M&A and private equity transactions, fundraising, joint ventures and corporate governance matters. He assists entrepreneurs, executives, family-owned groups, investment funds and industrial players, both French and international, with their strategic domestic and cross-border transactions.
He has recognised expertise in the media and telecoms sectors, IT and software publishing, and the hospitality, cosmetics, and luxury goods sectors.
He has recently been involved in the following transactions:
- the merger of Akao, a leading French company specialising in the digitisation and automation of financial flows, with Sage, a global leader in accounting, financial, HR and payroll management solutions for SMEs and mid-market companies;
- Les Jardins d’Arcadie taking over the management of a portfolio of sixteen serviced residences for the elderly in France, as part of TwentyTwo Real Estate and Azora Capital’s acquisition of Emeis’s senior care home business in France;
- the sale of the ‘Le Pigalle’ hotel, the ‘Café Pigalle’ and the ‘Le Glass’ bar by the Perseus hotel group to Biografy.
Drawing on his technical expertise and understanding of his clients’ strategic and people-related challenges, he plays an active role in developing the firm’s M&A and private equity practice, particularly with regard to sensitive transactions or those taking place in a litigious context.
He holds Master’s degrees in both International Business Law (University of Paris XI Paris-Sud, 2012) and Business Law (University of Paris X Nanterre, 2011).
