Admitted to the Paris and New York Bars, Guillaume de Rancourt spent twenty years at Cleary Gottlieb Steen & Hamilton LLP, in Paris and New York, where he advised major French and international corporations, as well as states, state entities, and financial institutions, on complex litigation, international arbitration, and crisis management matters.
He has developed recognized expertise in internal investigations and compliance, at the intersection of white-collar crime, commercial litigation, governance, and ethics.
At Franklin, Guillaume de Rancourt will work closely with all of the firm’s partners — in particular with Yann Colin, to strengthen the Dispute Resolution Department, and alongside Michel Sapin, on matters related to the Sapin II Law.
Guillaume de Rancourt holds an LL.M. from Harvard Law School (2011), as well as degrees from HEC Paris and Université Paris II – Panthéon-Assas (DESS in Business and Tax Law, 2002).
“I am delighted to join Franklin and its Dispute Resolution Department. The synergies with Yann Colin and Michel Sapin, as well as with the teams led by Serge Durox (Regulatory & Compliance / Banking – Investment Services – Insurance), Myriam de Gaudusson (Employment Law), and Merav Griguer (Data & Cyber), will enable us to offer clients comprehensive, strategic, and operational solutions to increasingly interconnected issues,” said Guillaume de Rancourt.
“We are very pleased to welcome Guillaume, whose dual Franco-American background and integrated practice across litigation, arbitration, and internal investigations strengthen our capabilities. His arrival reflects the firm’s collective momentum and reaffirms our ambition to handle complex, high stakes matters,” added Yam Atallah, co-managing Partner of Franklin.
