Michel Sapin (former French Minister for Finance and the Economy between 2014 and 2017, and legal partner at Franklin) was the brainchild of the current anti-corruption mechanism with publication of the 2016 Sapin 2 Act in France and has recently given his impression of the White Paper published by the Observatory for Public Ethics and Chair of Public Contract Law at Lyon 3 University, aimed at further bolstering measures to tackle corruption initially published in September. He more widely discussed the benefits and possible developments that could be made to the current system.
