He has extensive experience in wealth taxation and advises French and foreign families, executives and entrepreneurs on tax, wealth and reporting matters, particularly those with a strong international dimension, such as international share schemes, inheritance and planning, and tax residence. He has also developed significant expertise in tax audits, litigation, and criminal tax law.
An avid sports enthusiast, Jacques has been named one of the ‘Best Lawyers in Sports Law’ and advises clubs, federations, leagues, professional club unions, investors and top athletes in France and abroad.
Prior to joining Franklin, Jacques practised at Ayache from 2015. Prior to that, he headed the tax department at Eversheds from 2004 to 2015, having joined Coudert Frères in 2002. He began his career at Arthur Andersen International in 1991.
Jacques holds a postgraduate degree in corporate taxation from Paris Dauphine and a master’s degree in business law and taxation from Paris II – Assas. He now teaches tax law at the University of Lille and Aix-Marseille as part of the professional master’s programme in sports law. He is also an active member of several associations, including the IACF (Institut des Avocats Conseils Fiscaux), the AIAF (Association Internationale des Avocats du Football) and the AADS (Association des Avocats en Droit du Sport), the latter of which he co-founded.
