Franklin recently represented a banking syndicate led by SwissLife Banque Privée (Olivier Martinez and Frédéric Jouvet) and including Banque Cantonale de Genève France and Banque Internationale à Luxembourg (BIL) in connection with the financing of the acquisition by the Pierre Rénovation Tradition group of one of Paris’ iconic buildings, the Îlot Chirac, formerly known as the Îlot Branly.
Located close to the Eiffel Tower, this 13,000 sqm residential complex consists of four buildings. The €165 million transaction was structured around a syndicated senior debt facility supplemented by subordinated debt.
The Franklin team was led by Stéphan Alamowitch, partner and head of the Banking & Finance department, assisted by Mathilde Monot, Of counsel, and Jérémy Goldblum, partner in the Real Estate department, in association with Michelez notaries (Laura Beaune, Maryline Mosser and Olivier Dagrenat).
The borrower and the acquirer were advised by Lacourte Tatar Raquin (Chloé Thiéblemont, Jean-Jacques Raquin, Camille Tauziède, Maya Devedeux) and C&C Notaires (Maîtres Bruno Casteran and Devrim Cetiner).
