Angels Strategic Capital is chaired by Guy Gourevitch, who is the chairman of Defense Angels and a former chairman of France Angels. The company aims to bring together a community of committed investors with diverse profiles, including former senior military officials, industrial executives, entrepreneurs and industry experts. These investors are keen to support innovative companies in strategic sectors, in accordance with collectively defined principles.
This support will be provided at all stages of defence companies’ maturity cycles. Angels Strategic Capital is planning an initial round of financing for the second half of 2025, to support its first investments in strategic technology companies. Franklin assisted the founders in structuring this unique vehicle, which stands out due to its focus on sovereignty and defence, as well as its operating model.
The Franklin team included Stéphan Alamowitch and Michel Sapin, both partners in the Banking & Finance and Public Law departments respectively, as well as Mathilde Monot, Of Counsel. Over the past two years, this team has participated in discussions regarding investment in the defence sector, with a particular focus on innovative financing solutions for both balance sheet and off-balance sheet activities.
