Franklin continues to build out its service offering and reinforces its corporate practice with the addition of tax partner Jacques Mestoudjian.

Jacques Mestoudjian brings over 15 years of experience and expertise in all facets of corporate and personal tax law, and routinely handles the transactional tax aspects of mergers and acquisitions, restructurings and reorganizations, project finance, and the taxation of executive compensation and management packages. He also represents clients in tax audit and litigation matters.

Jacques Mestoudjian advises international clients, including industrial corporations, established or operating in France, as well as small- to large-cap private equity or infrastructure funds.

Commenting on the move, Jacques Mestoudjian said: “I was looking to develop my practice at an independent law firm, with strong corporate and restructuring practice groups to work with on transactional and other tax matters. I share Franklin partners’ approach of combining strategic project management with technical expertise into our legal practice. This joined-up approach is the key to developing effective synergies between practice groups, especially when handling increasingly complex tax law issues. »

Sharing his enthusiasm, Franklin’s partners said: “We are delighted to add Jacques to our team. His all-round expertise in transactional, personal and real estate tax matters will be of great value to our clients and a great addition to our service offering. It will be particularly pivotal to the expansion of our corporate and restructuring practices. In addition to his expertise in these areas, Jacques brings his own practice as well as a client portfolio of investment funds and industrial corporations that fits perfectly with Franklin’s positioning.”
