Franklin advises Perwyn on the acquisition of Cruiseline
Perwyn, a European and multisectoral private equity company with €2.5 billion of assets, is acquiring the business from Tikehau Capital and Montefiore de Cruiseline, a Monegasque company that is a market leader in the sale of online cruises in the Mediterranean, North Sea, Latin America and the Caribbean.
With Perwyn’s support, Cruiseline intends to continue its expansion into new geographical areas to take advantage of the growing interest in cruises and the growth of online sales of tours in order to assist its operating partners with their commitment to become more environmentally-friendly, by supporting significant investment in new vessels equipped with increasingly efficient and modern technologies to reduce their impact on the environment.
Perwyn was advised by Franklin with a team comprising Jacques Mestoudjian, Partner, Rudy Marouani, Of Counsel, and Antoine Perrimond, Associate, for the tax aspects. Perwyn was also advised by Moncey in respect of corporate matters, Norton Rose (Luxembourg), Gordon Blair (Monaco) and Broseta (Spain).
