Most of the firm’s partners and associates complemented their French legal studies with additional studies at prestigious universities, typically in the US, or professional training with leading foreign law firms. All of the partners, two of whom are American, have worked in internationally-focused law firms their entire career. Some of the partners and associates are members of several bars, typically Paris and New York. All of them provide services in French and in English on a regular basis (some of our attorneys also speak German, Spanish, Italian, Portuguese, Russian, Hindi, kannada and Turkish).

Although leading international law firms have asked Franklin to become or merge with their Paris office, we have chosen to remain independent. This choice does not stem from a desire to focus on French operations but, to the contrary, it facilities our ability to develop and optimize our international activity by selecting freely, based only on the expertise required for each matter, the most competent lawyers in the relevant foreign countries.

Over the years, Franklin and its partners have thus established an informal network of connections with leading firms and lawyers in key jurisdictions around the world, who we solicit in complete independence and solely in the interest of our clients, without any of the constraints inherent in integrated international firms.
